CARPE VITA – Fully Crewed Florida Catamaran

CARPE VITA is a fully crewed 42 ft. Venezia catamaran built by Fountaine Pajot one of the oldest, biggest and best catamaran builders in the world. They are renowned for their safety, speed, comfort, stability and reliability. Catamarans are notorious for their comfort at sea because they do not heel or lean.

CARPE VITA has four staterooms with very large beds with comfy blankets and pillows. She also offers great ventilation so you can sleep with the fresh ocean air. The only time they use air conditioning is when they are on a dock, which is rare. There are 2 heads with 2 showers. The main salon and aft deck has an XM and FM stereo. There is also video players available for your cabins if you care to watch a movie before sleeping. The crew aboard CARPE VITA are very aware of the environment. Almost all the energy needed is supplied by a powerful 400 watt wind generator and two 135 watt solar panels.

The galley has a 3 burner stove and an oven. The crew also loves to cook on the outside grill. If you like fish, they are usually able to supply a fresh catch of the day for dinner. There is almost always some fishing gear in the water for Mahi, Spanish Mackerel, and Tuna when sailing offshore.

If you prefer to swim with the fish instead of catching them, a few sets of snorkeling gear always available for your use. One of our favorite things about catamarans is the front trampoline. It is where you can enjoy a bit of sunbathing or spending your evenings just looking up at the stars.

Meet Marty, Cal and Talula, your crew on CARPE VITA. They are based in Palm Beach, Florida on Lake Worth. They are available with ample notice all the way down to Key West.

Their Mission Statement is to take you on a pleasure cruise that will give you everything you want, from indulgent relaxation to exciting sights and sensations. They want you to leave feeling that the time together was more than you ever expected and you will become a regular with them over the years and feel like part of their family.

Marty has spent most of her life as a hair stylist and owned and operated a Dessange Paris Day Spa for over 10 years. She trained in Paris for most of that time. She is a trainer for hair extensions, bridal hair, and sugar hair removal. Marty also studies everything she can find on wellness. She shares everything she knows on every trip with every guest who is interested. As a bonus, she is a fantastic cook and loves to work with the freshest organic produce. She is also very knowledgeable on raw diets and would love to provide that if you wish. Marty and Cal also would love to join you if you would like to do some yoga or meditation sessions.

Captain Cal is and an international award winning photographer and can provide an artistic record of your trip in photos, albums and slide shows. Cal has also spent over 20 years racing Pro Rally Cars and was twice National Champion and has brought his mechanical knowledge to keep CARPE VITA in great shape.

Talula is Talula! She is a 100 pounds of love in a 4 pound cotton ball. She loves people, kids and her toys, and is always ready to play or snuggle with anyone.

Florida is great in the summer months when you are on the water! Come sail with the crew Cal, Marty and Talula. With ample notice, they can meet you anywhere in South Florida in such locations as Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, the Florida Keys and Key West.
