Grenadines Yacht Charters

SAMPLE 7 - 10 DAY CHARTER ITINERARY FOR THE GRENADINES

Grenadines Yacht Charters, Vacations & Rentals

Below is a 7 to 10 day itinerary for cruising in the Grenadines. If you're making plans to cover all of the Grenadines by cruising from either St. Vincent to Grenada, or vice versa, you'll need to allow yourself at least 10 sailing days plus a day or two before and after your charter just because of the availability of connecting flights.

For a shorter 7 day cruise, both Canouan and Union Island make for good day one-way destinations as they both offer luxury resorts and airports with connecting flights to major airports in the Caribbean. Making it a perfectGrenadines yacht charter destination.

Canouan and Union Island also makes for a good turn around point for returning back to St. Vincent.

Day 1: Welcome aboard at Saint-Vincent, across from Young Island. Stroll through the little island of Duvernet, where there are several perfectly restored canons mounted on a platform with a fantastic view. Have dinner on board or ashore.

Day 2: Sail to Bequia (1 hr), island of whalers. Anchor, swim and have lunch facing a beautiful beach at the mouth of the bay. Spend the night at anchor facing the village. Don't miss visiting the local artist who builds models of whaling boats. His work is known throughout the Caribbean and beyond!

Day 3: Sail along the coast and anchor for lunch at Little Nevis, the small island where the whales were processed. Then it's off to Mustique (2 hr). Walk to Cotton House or visit the island in a pick up truck. Enjoy the imaginative architecture of the villas and mansions. You'll have dinner at the famous "Bazil Bar" restaurant, which sits on stilts across from the anchorage.

Day 4: Spinnaker sailing to Tobago Cays (2/3 hr). This is a magnificent anchorage between some deserted islands next to a coral reef. Snorkel, swim, stroll around the islands and have dinner on board.

Day 5: Anchor for lunch at Mayereau (1 hr), facing a long beach. For some there is diving and snorkeling on a wreck which is 20 feet down. For the others, stroll along the beach and visit the village. It's off to Chatam Bay - Grenadines (1hr) on Union island, a huge unspoiled bay. Dinner is a barbecue on the beach organized by a lobster fisherman.

Day 6: Sail and anchor for lunch at Morpion, (1 hr) a sand island off of PSV. Weather permitting the snorkeling is fabulous. Then it's on to the evening's anchorage at PSV a pretty little island-hotel. Cocktails ashore in the lovely bar covered with bougainvillea. Dinner ashore or on board.

Day 7: Swim, walk along the beach and then head to Union Island (1 hr). Weather permitting, you stop for lunch at Palm Island, a delightful little coral island with pink and white sand. If this is the last day you'll disembark at Clifton Bay, next to the airport..

Day 8: Sail to Carriacou - Grenadines (1 hr). Anchor at Hillsborough for immigration clearance. Visit the village and tour the island by taxi. There is a magnificent vista of the Grenadines. Anchor for the night at Sandy Island, a beautiful little island with fantastic snorkeling.

Day 9: Sail to Grenada - Grenadines (4 hr). Weather permitting; you'll stop for lunch at ile Ronde. Your night anchorage at St. Georges Harbour. Visit the town and have dinner ashore.
